Medical school vs PhD vs Dental School: which degree should you choose?

Hi there! My name is Alex, I am a 4th year PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania and this is “What degree should you get?” - where my best friends Charlotte (in Medical School), Alicia (in Dental School) and I discuss the different aspects of pursuing these degrees. Instead of doing an interview style video I decided to make it more like a game where I shared certain statements that in theory describe you the watcher and we decided which degree fits the statement best. Here is a breakdown of the statements and our responses: 0:59 - I’m comfortable with my graduation date being a suggestion 1:51 - I love working directly with people all day 3:39 - I would rather memorize 500 things than spend a month figuring out one thing 5:07 - I want to see the impact of my work on someone immediately 7:04 - I like high pressure environments where decisions need to be made quickly 9:12 - I want to spend most of my day thinking, reading, writing, and analyzing data 11:25 - I want to start making a real salary as soon as possible 12:55 - I need structure to get my work done 16:04 - I would rather give presentations than take exams 19:18 - Our backstory/lore lol Thanks so much for watching!
