A Prayer for Contentment | Receiving God’s Good Gifts

Sometimes we think we'll finally be content when we have a little more—a little more money, success, security, happiness, or control. But Ecclesiastes reminds us that the good things in our lives are gifts from God. They're meant to be enjoyed, but they were never meant to take God's place. This prayer is a quiet opportunity to thank God for what He has given us, ask Him for a heart of contentment, and remember that He Himself is greater than any gift He gives. Take a deep breath. Become still.
