Metro Station Tuileries - Paris 🇫🇷 - Walkthrough 🚶

filmed in November 2022 Tuileries is a station on line 1. The station opened on July 19, 1900. Fun Fact: In December 1999, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Paris Metro, Tuileries station was redecorated to present a visual overview of the 20th century. The decoration featured approximately 420 photographs and illustrations covering 10 decades of history, from 1900 to 2000. Stretching along both platforms, the colourful murals covered around 300 square metres and combined major historical events with everyday life, fashion, music, technology and popular culture. Famous personalities such as Nelson Mandela appeared alongside objects like Swatch watches and pressure cookers. Humorous and nostalgic captions in French, English and German accompanied the images. Designed by the French agency Participe Présent, the installation aimed to evoke collective memories rather than present a conventional history exhibition. Even the evolution of Paris Metro tickets, trains and station entrances was featured.
