It was directed by him and BetaSheep for a time before the former left the mod and was replaced by Cancer Lorde, who would eventually leave as well and be replaced himself.[3] Currently, the mod is still being directed by BetaSheep. It was formerly directed by Cancer Lorde's replacement, coquers_.[18] Kane Sucks was also a director for a brief period of time, presumably after Cancer Lorde's departure.[19] This mod was meant to feature remade versions of unused or scrapped content from SML Movie: Jeffy's Endless Aethos! as a way for the those developers to finally show off their work. Alongside the main content, it would have included a free-roam 3D game called Hellscape 64, through which the player would unlock every song, save for Irida. Shucks! was meant to be the first release, serving as a single-song demo, and the other five songs would have released sometime later. However, the mod as a whole was canceled on October 30, 2025. A build for Hellscape 64 was released on November 1, 2025. The Shucks! Demo was finished and released the next day. A Canceled Build featuring EXEcretion and Revenant was in the works, but development on this was halted as well because permission to make it wasn't given.[20][21] A hotfix for the Shucks! Demo is being worked on and will include Shucks! V4 and V3.[1][22] Friday Night Funkin', often shortened to FNF,[6] is an upcoming rhythm video game developed by The Funkin' Crew Inc. and released on Newgrounds in 2020.[7] The game is developed by a small group consisting primarily of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r.
