🇲🇦 Ouzoud Waterfalls - Cascades d'Ouzoud - Daytrip from Marrakesh

The Ouzoud waterfalls are a popular daytrip destination from Marrakesh. A tour will usually include a minivan to bring you out to the falls, a short guided hike to the bottom of the falls and a boat ride in the shallow river at the bottom of the falls. The falls are located 150 km from Marrakech. While we don't think that the guided tours are worth it, it is a nice day trip if you drive yourself. There is plenty of parking available, and the falls can be easily explored by yourself. Just be aware of the usual efforts to push wares on you that you will not need. The Ouzoud waterfall hike can barely be called a hike, but it is a nice walk from the rim down to the bottom of the falls, featuring a nice viewpoint. The area down by the falls is overcrowded and almost impossible to enjoy. The views at the top are still worth a trip and you have a good chance of meeting wild monkeys. So if you run out of things to do in Marrakech, a trip over to the Ouzoud falls can be a nice distraction. In fact, the Ouzoud falls are the highest waterfalls in Morocco with a drop of 110 meters across several levels.
