Mystery of DB Cooper | Man who Vanished in the Sky! | Fariz Tv On November 24, 1971, a man using the name Dan Cooper hijacked Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 from Portland to Seattle. He claimed to have a bomb and demanded $200,000 in ransom and four parachutes. After the plane landed in Seattle, the passengers were released, and Cooper remained aboard with the crew. During the flight toward Reno, he opened the aircraft’s rear stairs and parachuted into the darkness somewhere over the Pacific Northwest, carrying the ransom. Despite one of the largest investigations in FBI history, Cooper was never conclusively identified or found. In 1980, some of the ransom money was discovered along the Columbia River, but the rest has never been recovered. To this day, D.B. Cooper remains one of the most famous unsolved mysteries in American history.
