Set in 1986 Madras, the story follows a feared local gangster whose life takes an unexpected turn when a young schoolboy accidentally locks him inside a school restroom. What follows is an unlikely bond that neither of them could have imagined! Starring Vijay Sethupathi (Maharaja, Vikram, 96, Super Deluxe), Master Sai Prithviraj, and Lijomol Jose (Jai Bhim, Her), the movie brings together a wonderful cast, with Ajay Ghosh, Hari Krishnan, Arjun Chidambaram, and Sahasra Sree in supporting roles. Written and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan (Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Seethakaathi), Baththa is a mix of comedy, drama, and heartfelt storytelling. The music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar (Kiss, Dude), adding another layer to this 1980s-set story.
