🔥 Hell Arena (working title): an old-school 2D MMORPG with raids, PvP and a world that fights back Heads up: “Hell Arena” is just the development name. The final title is still to be decided. 🤖 This game is being built with the help of AI tools. It’s an experiment in how far one developer can go with AI as a teammate. Hell Arena is a 2D online RPG built from scratch on its own spell engine. It has the soul of the classic MMOs: a slow climb through the levels, building your group, stepping into the raid, fighting over the PvP zone. It’s all set in Velmora, a world with its own story. In this video I show almost everything that’s already in the game 👇 ⚔️ Classes & combat • 11 classes, each with 2 specializations and its own resources • Talent choices that change how your class plays • A 3-button damage rotation at max level: easy to learn, hard to master • Class Orders, with a Great Search that sends you across the whole world 🌍 The world • 3 factions (the Dawn Pact, the Iron Host and the Circle of the Veiled Moon) and 9 races • 10 open zones with real terrain: plateaus, ravines, boulders for cover, ponds and streams • Quests, professions, flight masters, a day/night cycle and weather • Group world events that break out across the map 🐺 Enemies that actually fight • Every creature family fights its own way: wolves hunt in packs and surround you, boars charge, cowards run and call their friends, the undead never give up • Abilities with ground warnings: webs, fire trails, lassos, slimes that split, treasure chests that bite • 32 rare enemies hidden around the world, with no fixed spot or time, a signature move and loot of their own 🐉 Dungeons, dragons & raid • Group dungeons, each with its own bosses • Dragon lairs, one per faction • The Deep Furnace, a 10-player raid whose mechanics punish anyone standing in the fire 🏆 PvP • 5v5 battleground • Arena from 1v1 to 5v5 • The World’s Chimney, a neutral max-level PvP zone with the raid entrance at its heart 🤖 Play solo or with friends • Play online with friends, or with an AI group that fills the tank, healer and damage roles • Training modes: try any dungeon, the raid, the arena or the Monster Lab without risking your character 🏷️ The name isn’t final yet.
