Most Reliable Car Brands UK: Ranked Worst to Best by 7 Million MOT Tests

Which car brands pass the MOT, and which are still on the road? We looked at every 2023 MOT test, from the DVSA's own records, on cars first registered between 2008 and 2012. That's more than 7 million tests. We ranked 31 brands by how many passed first time, comparing cars with the same miles. Then we followed every 2010 car from its first MOT in 2013 to see which brands were still passing ten years later. Only four brands are in the top ten on both lists. Brands with at least 10,000 tests and 2,000 tests at 50,000 to 99,999 miles, ranked by first-time pass (pass without repairs at the test) in that mileage band.
