I Built a Shelter on the Edge of a Mountain in Heavy Snow

I set out alone with only my backpack on a very high and dangerous mountain trail during heavy snowfall. The path was steep, slippery, and difficult, but I had one goal: reach a large rock and build a shelter before dark. After nearly three hours of walking, I found a good place beneath the rock. I was exhausted, so I made hot, strong tea using fresh snow and rested for a while. Then I went down the dangerous slope with my shovel and pickaxe to collect rocks and thorny branches buried under the snow. Carrying them back was extremely difficult because the path was steep and slippery I started building the shelter with one row of rocks followed by one row of thorny branches. Because the temperature was around -7°C to -10°C and strong winds were blowing, I carefully closed the gaps between the rocks. After many hours, the wall was finally finished. I cleaned the shelter and built a small stone fireplace close to my resting place. As darkness came, I prepared the little liver I had brought and cooked it over the fire with a hot cup of tea beside me. After such a tiring day, this simple meal felt amazing. At night, the heavy snow continued and distant village lights appeared deep in the valley far below. I checked outside one last time, added more wood to the fire, and returned to my shelter to rest.
