With launch day close, so much to do! Building our Wooden Sailing Boat (Ep 108)

Welcome back to another episode of us building Tarkine. With our launch date ever approaching faster and faster, we are focusing on jobs that we need to have done before launch. Making sure the hull and deck are watertight and that essential systems will be operational. This episode we show the work on the hull, a bit more sanding, painting and preparing the bronze chainplates so all the holes in the hull will be properly sealed before launch. We also bed down the Muir Anchor winch and it's foot buttons. Beautiful bronze pieces mounted on a Huon Pine board and fastened down below in the forepeak. We also juggle with the super heavy motor of the winch and get it securely fit in place. Some big jobs ticked off the list!
