One sister allegedly threw chilli powder into the delivery boy’s eyes, while the other arrived on a scooter and hit him from behind, knocking him to the ground. The two then allegedly took several parcels from his delivery bag and fled the spot. The incident took place in the Budh Vihar area of Rohini, and Delhi Police solved the case within just 15 hours. The arrested accused have been identified as 26-year-old Nancy Singh and her 20-year-old sister Gracy Singh. Both sisters are residents of Karol Bagh. According to police, the incident took place on September 25 at around 7:20 PM near the Hanuman Temple in Sector 5, Rohini. The delivery boy was carrying parcels when one of the sisters approached him, posing as a customer. She allegedly tried to forcibly take a parcel from his delivery bag. When the delivery boy resisted, the woman allegedly threw chilli powder into his eyes. As he struggled to see and protect himself, her sister arrived on a scooter and allegedly hit him from behind. The delivery boy fell onto the road and sustained an injury to his leg. Taking advantage of the situation, both women allegedly grabbed several parcels from the delivery bag and escaped from the spot on the scooter. The entire operation appeared to involve a specific role for each sister. According to the police version, one sister attacked the delivery boy with chilli powder to disorient him, while the other used the scooter to knock him down. They then allegedly took the parcels and fled together. After receiving the complaint, Budh Vihar Police Station registered an FIR and launched an investigation. The police team examined CCTV footage, used technical surveillance and developed information through local sources. Based on these leads, the police identified the two suspects and arrested Nancy and Gracy within 15 hours of the incident. Police have recovered three of the stolen parcels, the mobile phone and the scooter allegedly used in the crime. During questioning, both sisters allegedly admitted their involvement in the robbery. Police are now investigating whether the duo had carried out any similar incidents in the past and what led them to allegedly target the delivery boy. According to police, Nancy Singh had completed a fashion designing course but was currently unemployed, while Gracy had dropped out of studies after Class 12. The investigation is still underway. However, the manner in which the robbery was allegedly carried out has drawn attention—the first sister allegedly used chilli powder to blind and disorient the delivery boy, while the second allegedly knocked him down with a scooter, after which both sisters fled with the parcels.
