Come along with me to Puckett’s on the Parkway as I put both the food-allergy precautions and accessibility to the Travel Beyond Limits test! 🍤 WHAT I ORDERED: Shrimp & Grits My blackened shrimp was prepared separately in its own saucepan to help prevent cross-contamination. The normal collard greens garnish was left off because it contained pork products. A huge shout-out to Tom and the management team for listening to my concerns and taking the extra time to communicate with the kitchen. Traveling with Alpha-gal can make eating away from home challenging, and having a restaurant take your allergy seriously can make all the difference. And then there was dessert! I tried Nana’s homemade cobbler with ice cream, and it was phenomenal. The portions at Puckett’s were HUGE! ♿ I’m also looking at Puckett’s from a mobility perspective, including getting into the restaurant, navigating the dining area, seating, and the overall experience for someone who doesn't move as easily as they once did.
