In the early part of the 20th century Remington was producing many of the auto loading rifles in use. Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, examines a Remington Model 81 auto loading rifle. This gun features a pistol grip stock and checkered metal buttplate. The magazine is not removable and holds 5 rounds. The Remington model 81 was chambered for the 35, 30, and 32 Remington cartridges in addition to the 300 Savage cartridge. Remington produced the model 81 from 1936 to 1950 with over 56,000 guns produced in total.
