This entire song is based on my own personal experience. Recently, I was wandering around a Prague neighborhood where I used to work a part-time job some twenty years ago, and I honestly couldn't recognize a single street. A sudden chill went down my spine as I realized that the old, familiar environment was simply gone forever. I was walking through places that used to hold immense magic for me—I remembered the old houses and tucked-away corners... and suddenly, all I saw around me was sterile glass, corporate logos, and massive luxury apartment complexes. Progress always wins, but it rarely looks back at what it crushed along the way. I wrote the song "The Home is Gone" out of a deep sense of alienation. You stand like a stranger in a place you used to know like the back of your hand. For me, it's not just about redeveloping streets and modernizing the city; it's about how deeply it can emotionally uproot you. Sure, modern things have their place, but old corners and a bit of nostalgia carry a profound, irreplaceable beauty. It feels like nowadays we are rushing forward way too blindly, burying memories and the raw soul that made us love the city in the first place under layers of concrete.
