Every Cub in This Valley Has a Week to Live. He Is the Reason. | 4K Wildlife Documentary

Two males hold a territory for about twenty-six months. Three hold one for forty-two. A cub needs twenty-four months with his father still standing. Twenty-six against twenty-four. There is no margin in that. So Moto needs a third lion, and the only lions out there who would take the job are the ones nobody else wanted. There is no way to look for one except to stand in the dark and make a noise. He and Jabari did it for nineteen nights. On the sixth night something answered that was bigger than Jabari — and already in a pair. On the eleventh, a twelve-year-old who could not cover forty kilometres in a night. On the nineteenth, something answered from much closer than it should have been able to. Part 5 of The Story of Moto.
