After recovering from altitude sickness in Leh, our family finally started the drive towards Khardung La, one of the most famous high-altitude passes in Ladakh. In this episode, we take you along the complete journey from Leh to Khardung La, showing the actual road conditions, South Pullu checkpoint, rough patches, changing weather, snow, altitude and our family's experience driving the Tata Safari higher into the mountains. The road changes dramatically as we climb higher — and the conditions become colder, rougher and more challenging. We finally reach Khardung La at around −3°C, spend some time at the pass, and then begin our descent towards Nubra Valley.
