MOUSECOMS: The Complete Second Season (1930)

Welcome to the 2nd set of MouseComs! This is a series of commentary tracks for the 9 #MickeyMouse cartoons released by Walt Disney Productions in 1930. As of January 1st 1930, they have fallen into the public domain under US copyright law, but I should stress that these are not official commentary tracks and I am not affiliated with the current owner of the shorts, The Walt Disney Company. The is a fan project made for historical and educational purposes. As with last time, I think it fair to warn new viewers that some of the cartoons have jokes and cultural depictions that were common in American media at the time they were made, but would no longer be considered acceptable today. It would be a disservice to the viewers AND the cartoons to brush this content under the rug, or worse, censor it. This is meant to provide historical conext to the cartoons, and historical context they shall get. Lastly, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about something. I did a lot of research for this, but I could’ve always got something wrong or mispronounced a name or two. This is very old, delicate information I’m spouting, so I do want the most accurate of it to be front and centre. 0:00 Fiddling Around 6:57 The Barnyard Concert 12:54 The Cactus Kid 20:20 The Fire Fighters 27:40 The Shindig 34:44 The Chain Gang 42:46 The Gorilla Mystery 50:20 The Picnic 57:27 Pioneer Days No AI was used in the production of this video.
