Two days after a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile killed 22 people, including five children, in an apartment block in Pryluky, a chemical plant caught fire in Redkino, a little over 100 kilometres from Moscow. Ukraine's General Staff says its drones struck three sites tied to missile launches and rocket fuel that night, and Ukraine's security service says the Redkino Experimental Plant makes components of Decilin-M, the fuel used in Russia's Kh-101 and Kh-55 cruise missiles. In this video we explain what was hit, what the plant actually makes, why a cruise missile needs its own fuel, and why Ukraine has now attacked this one small plant at least four times since 2023. We look at how many Kh-101s Russia can build, 40 to 50 a month by Ukraine's estimate, and why one night like 7 October can use up close to a month of production. We cover the other targets of the same night: two sites in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a second Yandex data centre, the Ukhta refinery and a Belgorod oil depot. Then the honest part: a fire is confirmed by both sides, but the damage is unknown, the fuel claim is not independently verified, and these strikes have not stopped the missiles yet. Facts as reported up to 10 October 2026.
