PEANUT – FROM LIFEBOAT TO HOME | EPISODE 2 In Episode 2, I take a closer look at Peanut — the ex-lifeboat I'm taking on and converting into a home. After my introduction, Steve takes over the narration and guides us through the boat, section by section, looking at exactly what I've got. We take a look at the front room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and fireplace, and explore what is already there, what needs changing and just how much work lies ahead. This is the starting point of the Peanut project — taking an old lifeboat and working out how we're going to turn it into a houseboat and a home. How much work is involved? What can be kept? What needs to be changed? And have I really bitten off more than I can chew? Towards the end of the episode, the lifeboat from Scotland arrives at the boatyard, giving me my first opportunity to walk around it and see exactly what I've taken on.
