Fly is the first collaboration between Essam and Siedd. The piece embodies and encapsulates the entire meaning of the song simply through the journey taken to get to this point. What do we mean by this? Initially, the collaboration started in Australia pre-COVID where the idea for the song came and the chorus was mostly written. At a later time, Siedd would record his part in Canada whereas Essam would continue writing his verse on a train from Germany to Switzerland. It was when Essam returned to the US that he recorded his verse in the studio. Fast-forward to the end of summer 2021 when both artists would reunite on tour in London – accompanied by the incredibly talented Muzzammil Siddiqee – and the visuals would finally be captured, culminating in what you see in front of you today. “We really flew around the world to bring this piece to life.” - Essam Much love from Essam and the team.
