Smurfen.net: A Beautiful Community

Thanks to the Smurf Community: https://www.smurfen.net Music: Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself (Long Version) BLOND:ISH ft. Kurtis Wells - Lovers On The Dancefloor (Extended Mix) Smurfen Raceway: https://tm.mania.exchange/mapshow/235256 Let’s start from the beginning: I started playing TM2 in 2020, focusing only on the Stadium environment and playing entirely alone. Gradually, I began exploring the Canyon, Valley, and Lagoon environments as well. In early 2023, I joined the smurfen.net Discord server and started playing alongside this wonderful community. That same year, while in a voice channel, Haagse asked me if I wanted to become a "Smurf". I told him I wasn't really into clans, I’m a bit too old for that sort of thing, but he replied, "We aren't a clan; we’re a community." Now, three years and many hours of gameplay later, I truly consider the Smurf Community a big family. I’ve made friends from all over the world, truly incredible people. In this video, I tried to include as many Smurfs as possible, though it’s quite challenging since not everyone uploads their content to ManiaExchange (a community-driven site for TM2 maps and replays). As a result, some great Smurfs are missing. As a result of all this, Canyon ended up being my favorite game out of all the TrackMania titles, I played hundreds of maps in it and also created many maps myself. The Smurf Community exist since 2008, Haagse could confirm the exact numbers, but I believe over more than 500 players have been part of this big community over the last 17 years, with people joining, leaving and returning along the way. I’ve been a Smurf since 2023, I want to thank everyone who appears in this video, I did my best to bring as many Smurfs together as I could. Thanks for everything, thanks for being my friend. Now, I think I need a coffee and a break from Trackmania! If you are the content owner and would like this video removed it will be done so within 24 hours of notification.
