August and it's 26(°C) still 🥵, but today we set off on a ride through the stunning Dorset countryside, making our way towards Tyneham Village — a place where time seems to have stood still, steeped in history and quiet mystery. Tyneham is a famous ghost village in Dorset, England, that was abruptly evacuated in 1943 during World War II for D-Day training preparations. The residents were given just 28 days to leave their homes, with a promise from Winston Churchill that they could return after the war. That promise was never kept, and the land was permanently retained by the Ministry of Defence.
