From the BQE, the route connects with the Long Island Expressway / I-495 and continues through the Queens Midtown Tunnel, crossing beneath the East River into Manhattan. Once in Manhattan, the drive heads south toward the FDR Drive, following the East River through some of the most recognizable scenery in New York City. Along the way, you'll see views of Lower Manhattan and pass near several of New York's most famous East River crossings, including the Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Brooklyn Bridge.
