We began on Gorleston Pier, and while we managed some Bass and Whiting, the severe weather made it nearly impossible to fish. The sea was too rough and there was just too much weed coming through to keep a bait still. ✨🧼💎 We made the decision to move into the shelter of the river, and that’s when the madness happened. I had a massive bite and ended up in the fight of my life with a huge double-figure Ray. After a brutal struggle, I finally got it to the edge. Andy T stepped in to try and land it for me, but just as it was at my feet... PING. The hook pulled. 😳💔 Losing a fish of that size at the very last second is devastating, but that’s the reality of sea fishing in rough conditions.
