Cutscene Thoughts - Oh man, I am sorry, but this map is kinda a mess. It hurts to say this because this map actually has some really decent and unique ideas kinda similar to the Dark Lady where you start from a weaker place with no units except trolls and then you have to enlist help from different factions to get stronger. You even have an interesting situation where you have to choose between siding with dragons and draenei and you can't (presumably) side with both, which should make the map interesting in theory, but man, the execution is really lackluster. Like all the other macro maps in this campaign, the AI of the enemy is REALLY weird, they kinda behave like melee AI where they will always just run away from you whenever you run into them which makes them really annoying to fight. And I said this is a macro map but honestly it really isn't because you can't build out of the buildings you are given at all! So why even bother giving us buildings? You can't build siege weaponry, you can't even build the guys you go and recruit to help you, you just have to work with the people the game gives you. Its pretty unsatisfying honestly. Also you are given no siege damage and no chaos damage, so sieging into the base is just ROUGH, man. Also for some reason the mapmaker decided to make these obnoxious choke points with these doodad pathblockers at each entrance of the enemy base which makes it so that one unit at the entrance can trap everybody from going through. Man do I love that! Overall, this was disappointing because the idea at first really had potential. I was excited assuming this would be a Dark Lady situation, but man was it not. I still somewhat enjoyed it, I only wish this map was more involved and less tedious. Like I said, I did also like the choice between draenei and dragons, I went with the Draenei because I thought fighting through all of them to kill the Seer would be rough. The Dragons were much easier to kill with our Berserkers. Oh and the final cutscene is completely borked. This was not due to Brisgull dying in gameplay for me at the end there btw, I restarted and tried to activate this cutscene again with him alive and the same thing happened. Its weird because its not due to version mismatch so did the mapmaker not test the ending cutscene? I have no idea lol. Storywise this map was still fun, Sedejak finally tried to betray Brisgull which was a long time coming honestly, but thankfully we stopped him. But yeah, this was one of the most clunky maps in this campaign so far, even more than the 4th mission. ‪@armelior4610‬ left a comment on that video saying how a lot of the gameplay in this campaign feels like a first draft which unfortunately I can definitely see in some of these missions. The story and writing is magnificent, I just wish it was paired with better gameplay!
