Come With Me to The Festival of Quilts 2026

I spent a few very busy days at the NEC in Birmingham, giving talks, meeting so many lovely people, looking at some truly extraordinary quilts — and, of course, doing a little bit of shopping. In this video I’m taking you along with me for a wander around the Festival. I’ll show you some of the quilts that caught my eye, introduce you to a few of the people I met along the way, share a little of what it was like giving my talks, and show you the bits and pieces that somehow found their way home with me! It was busy, colourful, inspiring and quite exhausting — but most of all it was a wonderful reminder of just how many lovely, creative people there are in this quilting world of ours. Correction: The beautiful quilt at 15:29 was made by the talented Lizzy Curtis. I am really sorry about this error Lizzie Rita my daughter in law came with me and helped enormously. She made some video of the talk I gave though the sound quality is poor.
