FIRST TIME HEARING “GURAGE TON” (ጉራጌ ቶን) BY TEDDY YO… THE OG OF ETHIOPIAN RAP?! 🤯🇪🇹

BROOOOOOOOOOO!! 🇪🇹🔥🔥🔥 *ETHIOPIA… I THINK I'VE JUST DISCOVERED ONE OF THE MISSING PIECES OF MY ETHIOPIAN MUSIC JOURNEY!! 🤯* WELCOME BACK TO CLOUD 9!! Today I'm FINALLY reacting to **TEDDY YO – GURAGE TON (ጉራጌ ቶን) FT. ABR**, a track that my Ethiopian subscribers have been requesting for SOOOOO LONG!! And BROOOOO… NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY!! 😭🔥 You guys have been telling me to check out Teddy Yo for ages, but I'm actually so happy I waited until now! Because after spending months discovering Ethiopian music and reacting to so many incredible Ethiopian rappers, hearing Teddy Yo for the first time felt like a HUGE moment!! Within the FIRST MINUTE, I genuinely felt like I could hear elements of so many Ethiopian rappers I've already reacted to!! It was almost like suddenly hearing where some of those sounds and styles might have originated!! BROOOOO THAT WAS SUCH A CRAZY REALISATION!! 🤯 And then there's the actual MUSIC!! The thing that absolutely fascinated me about this track was the combination of the VOCAL DELIVERY and the PRODUCTION!! Teddy Yo was delivering these incredibly rhythmic, almost straight-up HIP-HOP FLOWS, but the instrumental wasn't what I would normally associate with traditional hip-hop at all!! AND SOMEHOW IT WORKED PERFECTLY!! 🔥 That contrast made the track feel so unique, and it's one of the things I absolutely LOVE about Ethiopian music! The way artists combine different musical traditions, rhythms and vocal styles is genuinely fascinating to me as a music producer!! And the ENERGY?! BROOOOO!! 🔥🔥 Now I completely understand why so many of you wanted me to discover Teddy Yo!! *BUT ETHIOPIA, I HAVE SOME SERIOUS QUESTIONS!! 🇪🇹👇* 🔥 How influential is Teddy Yo in the history of Ethiopian rap and hip-hop? 🎤 Am I right in hearing similarities between his style and some of the Ethiopian rappers I've discovered more recently? 🥁 What would you call the style of instrumental used in this song? Is it influenced by traditional Gurage music? 🇪🇹 What does GURAGE TON (ጉራጌ ቶን) mean, and what's the story behind the song? 🎶 And WHAT OTHER TEDDY YO TRACKS DO I NEED TO HEAR?! I genuinely feel like my Ethiopian music journey is getting deeper with every reaction, and I LOVE learning about the artists who helped shape the sounds I'm discovering today!! If you're enjoying this journey through Ethiopian music, make sure you LIKE, COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE to become part of the CLOUD 9 FAMILY!! ☁️❤️ MUCH LOVE TO ALL MY ETHIOPIAN FAMILY!! 🇪🇹❤️ LIVE LIFE ON CLOUD 9!! ☁️🔥 #TeddyYo #GurageTon #ጉራጌቶን #ethiopianhiphop #ethiopianrap #ethiopianmusic #ethiopia #gurage #ethiopianmusicreaction #TeddyYoReaction #habeshamusic #musicreaction
