This is a four player Free For All (4FFA) with 3 Easiest AI. I win this match of Star Ruler 1. In the final chapter and after the victory is declared I blow up a star. An unstable star to be fair since it is far easier to damage. About 4 million hit points compared to what is usually trillions. Most stars have a lot more hit points but this one was on the verge of blowing itself up. It is divided into seven (7) alphabetized parts, A) through G). That is parts A, B, C, D, E, F and G). They total a whooping 32 hours and are often multi-hour chunks so not for the faint of heart. A lot of the time I spend designing ships and not all of them turn out to be very useful but some are useful enough that I win the match with them. 32 hours, that is the total of all parts combined. This is a definite record for match length uploaded to YouTube (for me) so far and I kind of hope not to break it because this was a bit of a blooper and the huge files filled up my machine and were hard to edit as well. The initial block of video for example was a bit over 14 hours and I had to cut it into 4 pieces (A, B, C and D) to make it more manageable and get it onto YouTube since they will not take things over 12 hours. Editing it was also a challenge of it's own because it was 72 Gigabytes and editing often multiplies that in duplicate or triplicate in various caches plus the finished product and the original which was taking a lot of space and a lot of editing time. This is a lesson about early decisions compounding. I screwed up early and did not pause when I was spending a long time building a ship and by the time I got back to the map I had lost a lot of systems including my capital starting system. I had also done a LOT of tech research so with that and some clever planning I was slowly able to get them all back BUT the match lasted more than 32 hours. I also learned how to customize my race at the start and get gameplay altering racial features. I bet few will read this and fewer still will watch the whole match.
