BDO | Magaia Temple – Agent | 14.5K+/hr | Lv2 | ( But in the second phase, where mobs are one-shot, it bugged for me. I got the buff, but the mobs were tanky, so I lost around 700trash loot easily) I'll keep this one short. After the latest changes PA made to Magaia Temple, the spot is definitely much easier and more accessible for newer players. At this point, I think almost everyone should be able to pass the DPS check. For me personally, though, the changes feel like a huge nerf. Before the changes, stronger DPS and better execution actually allowed you to move through the spot faster. Now I'm basically waiting for every single pack to spawn. No matter how quickly I kill the mobs, the spawn timing holds the rotation back, which means you're essentially locked into a much more static amount of trash loot. My Overall Opinion Previously, Magaia was fun because the DPS check actually mattered. Mistakes, bad execution, or an inefficient combo could cause you to fail the check and reset the mechanic from the beginning. That gave you a reason to improve your damage, combo, positioning, and overall execution. After the latest changes, that challenge is basically gone. You don't really need to push yourself to pass the mechanic anymore—it's mostly just casually killing mobs and waiting for the next pack. Of course, that's just my opinion, but I personally preferred the old Magaia because there was an actual challenge and better execution felt rewarding. ⚔️ Combo Used C → RMB → A/D +LMB → SHIFT+LMB →W+LMB → S+F → SHIFT+F → SHIFT+C → S+E → S+LMB (Optional) A/D + LMB — I use this to reposition and get behind the mobs for Back Attacks. W + E — I use this for movement from pack to pack. SHIFT + RMB — I use this when I need Front Guard, or to quickly finish off low-HP mobs.
