1000× SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, La Hawla wa la Quwwata illa Billah, Hasbunallah, Astaghfirullah The Dhikr of the Everlasting Good Deeds Pure Voice, No Instruments — Arabic — سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَاللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ — English — Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. There is no power nor might except with Allah. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin, and I turn to Him in repentance. — The Story — 1000 times. Seven doors of remembrance. One heart returning home. These words are among the everlasting good deeds, al-baqiyat as-salihat, referenced in the Quran (Surah al-Kahf 46, Surah Maryam 76). They are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, beloved to the Most Merciful. When the plans you made are not working, when the chest tightens at 3 AM, when the world grows loud, these words gather the soul and place it back in its rightful posture: small before Allah, safe with Allah. 🕊️ SubhanAllah, Glory be to Allah. He is above every deficiency, every doubt, every fear the mind can invent. The Prophet ﷺ said the two words most beloved to the Most Merciful are SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil Adheem (Sahih al-Bukhari 6406, from Abu Hurayrah RA). 🌿 Alhamdulillah, All praise belongs to Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said it fills the scale (Sahih Muslim 223, from Abu Malik al-Ashari RA). 🌙 La ilaha illa Allah, There is no god but Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said the best of what he and the Prophets before him said is: La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah (Jami at-Tirmidhi 3585, hasan). ☀️ Allahu Akbar, Allah is the Greatest. Greater than the fear, greater than the debt, greater than the diagnosis. Together with the three above, these four are dearer to the Prophet ﷺ than all upon which the sun rises (Sahih Muslim 2695, from Abu Hurayrah RA). 🌊 La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, No power nor might except with Allah. A treasure from the treasures of Paradise (Sahih al-Bukhari 6384, from Abu Musa al-Ashari RA). 🛡️ Hasbunallahu wa nimal wakil, Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best Disposer of affairs. The word of Ibrahim AS and of the believers when people gathered against them (Surah Aali Imran 173, Sahih al-Bukhari 4563). 🌾 Astaghfirullaha rabbi min kulli dhanbin wa atubu ilayh, I seek forgiveness and turn back to Him. The Prophet ﷺ said, By Allah, I seek forgiveness of Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times in a day (Sahih al-Bukhari 6307, from Abu Hurayrah RA). 1000 times is not a number from a hadith. It is a practice of many lovers of Allah who lengthened their dhikr. The narrated sunnah counts include 33, 100, and other numbers reported in the hadith. The extended count is love, not law. Glorify. Praise. Testify. Magnify. Depend. Trust. Return. — Listen When — Your chest is tight and you cannot name the reason. The plans you made are not working. You feel far from Allah and want to come back gently. You need to fall asleep with light on your tongue. You are carrying a sin you are ashamed to say aloud. — Quran — So remember Me; I will remember you. (Surah al-Baqarah 152) And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him. (Surah at-Talaq 3) And seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him.
