I demonstrate through the Qur'an that the Qur'anic model of marriage is monogamy. I also explain that the Qur'an does not argue from fitrah to allow polygamy, rather, it used the extant practice of polygamy in 7th century Hejaz to ensure justice for orphans and their widowed mothers.
