Uncle Estevan | It's Time

Thank you for taking part in our little game, in which you were supposed to guess who was going to be the main star of the video. None of you guessed it right, but to be fair, it was very, very difficult to guess! And I can clearly see there is a big need for a Sergeant Garcia video. I’ll definitely keep that in mind! But today, let’s enjoy the one and only Uncle Estevan de la Cruz, played MARVELOUSLY by the one and only Cesar Romero, who happens to be one of my favorite actors not only among the Zorro cast, but in general. I honestly think he is the only reason why we can handle Uncle Estevan as a character 😂 He would be unbearable with another face, another voice, and without that sparkle in his eyes. Cesar did a wonderful job as Uncle Estevan. He’s so energetic, he fills the screen with light and yes, I think “energy” is the best word to describe him. He can’t stay still. He’s constantly in motion, making gestures, smiling, acting with his eyes and with his voice. He never delivers a line casually. Every word feels carefully thought out and delivered with different intensity. It’s amazing! I guess that’s why, despite appearing in only four episodes, he is still so memorable. And he’s so, so funny. You may hate him, but you can’t deny he gave you some really good laughs! I hope you’ll enjoy the video, which I wanted to use as a way to say: thank you, Cesar, for being your coruscating self and still entertaining us, even if it was only for four far-too-short episodes.
