Mumbai to Tarkarli Day 1 | Bike Breakdown, Scenic Ghats & Tough Roads via Satara-Kolhapur

Day 1 of our Mumbai to Tarkarli ride was packed with unexpected turns—literally! We began our journey on 24th April 2025, full of energy and excitement. After a smooth start from Mumbai, we took a breakfast halt at Lonavala, where we relaxed and recharged. But just when things were going great, we faced the first breakdown—a puncture in one of our friend’s bikes. It was our first real test of patience and teamwork! Instead of taking the usual Mumbai-Goa Highway, we ended up on the Satara-Kolhapur route, which turned out to be a rough ride filled with under-construction roads, traffic, and detours through towns. The bad road conditions slowed us down drastically, pushing our expected arrival from 5 PM to a late 10 PM. But not everything was a struggle. The route surprised us with scenic ghats, green farmlands, peaceful villages, and a beautiful sunset that made it all worth it.
