In this episode, we welcome the design experts from The Design Store in Bemidji, who just returned from High Point Market in North Carolina with a fresh wave of interior design inspiration. But before they ever set foot on a showroom floor, their journey included thunderstorms, lost luggage, and a 4 a.m. hotel check-in. Still, nothing stopped them from diving headfirst into the trends, innovations, and must-haves that are transforming the world of home decor. Whether you’re an aspiring designer, a furniture fanatic, or someone planning a bedroom upgrade, this video is your VIP pass to what’s new, what’s next, and what’s truly next-level in design. 🌟 In This Exclusive Interview, You’ll Learn: ✅ How to turn a travel disaster into design magic Their trip started with a thunderstorm, lost luggage, and no makeup—but they showed up at High Point with grit, grace, and Minnesota toughness. Hear how Ashlin’s rally cry—"We’ve come too far not to make this worth it!"—set the tone for an unforgettable market experience. ✅ Why High Point Market is the Super Bowl of interior design With over 11 million square feet of showrooms featuring furniture, lighting, bedding, and accessories, this market is where trends are born. From backlit beds to seasonal duvets and velvet quilts, this year’s show brought out some truly stunning concepts. ✅ Why The Design Store in Bemidji is expanding into full bedroom offerings You might know them for living room setups and curated style, but after market, they’re going deeper into bedding, duvet inserts, pillows, and even designer pet accessories. Yes, there’s a dog bed built into a bedstead now—and you’ll hear all about it. ✅ The future of beds: split kings, adjustable frames, and high function meets high style The team talks about rising demand for adjustable beds and how customers want comfort without sacrificing aesthetics. Learn how they're sourcing frames that blend sleep technology with classic design. ✅ What makes a bed better with age? One of the standout discoveries was a quilt line that actually improves with washing, giving that broken-in, relaxed, luxury-lodge feel. Think: Pottery Barn quality but more affordable and with that up-north lake charm. ✅ How The Design Store finds products just for you Whether it's a specific fabric, a customer-sized swivel chair, or something pet-friendly yet elegant, this team will hunt it down. They don’t just go to market for fun—they go with YOU in mind. 💬 Behind the Scenes at High Point Market 🛏️ Favorite product spotlight: A Norwalk bedstead with backlit fabric headboard, USB charging ports, and a pull-out dog bed drawer. Stylish, smart, and perfect for anyone whose dog has taken over the king-size mattress. 🎨 Lighting is now art The team confirms: lighting has moved way beyond function. At High Point, it’s sculpture, ambiance, and statement piece all rolled into one. Look for lighting upgrades to arrive in-store soon. 🛍️ A floor model clearance sale is coming To make room for all the new pieces heading to the store, they’ll be running a massive floor model sale—priced below cost.
