"Hum Aapki Aankhon Mein" is an evergreen romantic duet from the classic 1957 film Pyaasa, sung by Mohammed Rafi and Geeta Dutt, with music by S.D. Burman and lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi. It features a playful, teasing exchange of affection between the characters of Guru Dutt and Mala Sinha. The song was not originally planned for the movie. It was added at the behest of film distributors who felt the movie was getting too pessimistic and needed a lighthearted, romantic relief. Guru Dutt’s masterpiece Pyaasa (1957) is a cinematic triumph about a struggling poet in a materialistic society. The iconic classic, set in Kolkata, is hailed as one of the best 100 films of all time by Time Magazine!
