Not long ago, walks with Margo meant a tight leash — pulling ahead, spinning in circles, turning every few steps into playtime. Lately, she's finally getting the hang of it: walking beside us, stopping to sniff, then moving on. On a clear autumn day, we took a quiet way through the woods, then wandered further out to a small neighborhood road with a little stream running alongside. Hardly any cars. Hardly any people.
