【建築さんぽ】関西外国語大学【建物探訪】

一般的な傾向として、創業家や事務方生え抜きの豪腕トップが長期政権をひく大学の場合、校舎やキャンパスに強いこだわりが見られたり、校舎内に豪勢な美術品が飾られていたり、と言うことが少なくない。 まさにここもそう。全米で最も美しい（つまり、彼ら的には世界一）と言われるヴァージニア大学スタイル。わかりやすく言えば関西学院大みたいなやつ。 かあここのキャンパス、あえて言えば、クセつよ系ではなく、わかりやすい立派さ系って所か。 というわけで、枚方市にある中宮と御殿山の両キャンパスを訪問しました。ちょっと離れているけど、歩いて行くことは可能、ぐらいの離れ具合な両キャンパスです。 [Architectural Walk] Kansai Gaidai University [Building Exploration] As a general trend, universities where the founding family or a powerful, long-serving leader has held power for a long time often show a strong commitment to their buildings and campuses, and it's not uncommon to see lavish artwork displayed inside. This is certainly the case here. It's in the style of the University of Virginia, which is said to be the most beautiful in the US (and therefore, in their opinion, the most beautiful in the world). To put it simply, it's like Kwansei Gakuin University. However, if I had to describe this campus, I'd say it's not particularly quirky, but rather has a straightforward, impressive grandeur. So, I visited both the Nakamiya and Gotenyama campuses in Hirakata City. They're a little far apart, but it's possible to walk between them.
