How to Talk About Your Feelings in German | Gefühle & Emotionen from A1 to C1 🇩🇪
🎧 Learn how Germans really talk about feelings, emotions, stress, frustration and personal boundaries in everyday life.
Knowing words like glücklich, traurig or müde is a good start. But what happens when you're stressed at work, someone hurts your feelings, you feel overwhelmed, or you simply don't know what to say?
In this episode, you'll learn how to express what you're feeling in natural, spoken German, from simple A1 phrases all the way to confident C1 expressions you can use in real conversations.
We’ll move step by step from:
👉 Ich bin müde.
👉 Ich habe Angst.
👉 Mir ist langweilig.
to more natural and nuanced expressions like:
👉 Ich fühle mich unsicher.
👉 Das hat mich verletzt.
👉 Ich bin im Moment ziemlich angespannt.
👉 Es macht mich nervös, wenn …
👉 Ich fühle mich überfordert, deshalb brauche ich kurz einen Moment.
And finally, you’ll learn how to stay calm and set boundaries in German with phrases such as:
👉 Ich möchte kurz sagen, wie das bei mir ankommt.
👉 So möchte ich nicht angesprochen werden.
👉 Können wir bitte sachlich darüber sprechen?
👉 Ich weiß gerade nicht, was ich dazu sagen soll.

✅ Set respectful boundaries at work and in everyday conversations
✅ Sound more natural, confident and emotionally expressive in German
🗣 From A1 to C1
This lesson is designed so that you can grow with the language.

💬 Real German for real situations
Instead of memorizing isolated vocabulary, you’ll hear the expressions inside realistic situations:
☕ talking to colleagues
💼 dealing with stress at work
📞 speaking with your manager
🚆 reacting to frustrating everyday situations
👥 talking to friends
❤️ explaining when something has hurt you
🛑 setting boundaries without sounding rude
The goal is simple: not just to know German, but to have the words when you actually need them.
🎧 Listen carefully, pause the video and repeat the sentences aloud. Try to imagine a real situation from your own life where you could use each expression.
The more you connect a sentence to a real emotion or situation, the easier it becomes to use naturally later.
