What happens when a generation can’t leave but still wants to build? Greg Moran sits down with Uran Badiuku to explore how Kosovo’s youth turned isolation into a growing cultural and music scene that’s now gaining global attention. After the war, Kosovo was starting from zero. Systems weren’t functioning, opportunities were limited, and movement outside the country wasn’t always possible. But instead of waiting for access, a generation chose to build locally. Uran B. shares how nightlife became more than entertainment. It became an outlet, a community, and a way to turn pressure into creativity. From underground events in abandoned spaces to hosting international platforms and artists, the scene slowly grew into something the outside world started to notice. At the center of it is a simple idea: if you can’t go out into the world, you bring the world to you. In this episode: • How nightlife became an outlet after the war • Turning isolation into creativity and momentum • Building a music scene without access to global movement • Creating cultural spaces from abandoned buildings • How Kosovo started attracting global attention • The role of youth in shaping culture • Why culture can be built and exported without resources • The connection between freedom, identity, and creativity 👍 Like, comment, share, and subscribe.
