The Bronx's "Chicky Boo The Emperor" | The Moviementary

During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the South Bronx was home to some of New York City's most notorious drug organizations. Among the names that emerged from this violent era was David "Chicky Boo the Emperor" Rosario, a feared street figure who built his reputation in the heroin trade around Southern Boulevard. From his early connections to Colombian drug trafficker Ramon Velasquez to his rise as a powerful Bronx drug dealer, Chicky Boo's story was filled with money, loyalty, betrayal, robberies, shootings, and deadly rivalries. But one of the most explosive chapters involved his former friend and fellow hustler, Paul Davila, better known as Little Paulie. What began as a friendship eventually deteriorated into a bitter street feud, as former associates became enemies and violence threatened to consume their organizations. This Moviementary explores Chicky Boo's rise in the South Bronx, his connections to the neighborhood's underground drug economy, his rivalry with Little Paulie, and the criminal investigations that ultimately brought his street reign to an end. From Southern Boulevard to the streets surrounding Brook Avenue and East 139th Street, this is a story of ambition, power, betrayal, and the deadly consequences of the drug game.
