EN - On November 25, 1813, Squire Willem Francois Boreel received the order on behalf of King Willem 1 to form a Regiment of Hussars (Cavalry). The regiment consisted of four squadrons (two platoons each); 641 hussars and 677 horses. Boreel himself became regimental commander, with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
