Frank sent this live performance from BAND-MAID’s February 2024 spin-off concert following their massive 10th Anniversary show at Yokohama Arena. Another SOLID BAND-MAID track. This one has a darker, more defiant feel, but still has all those little things that make BAND-MAID songs hit. 🥁 Akane was BUSY in the verses — tons of bass/drum interplay and hi-hat work driving everything underneath. 🎤 Miku’s backup vocals were all over this one, adding another layer behind Saiki and helping that chorus sound absolutely HUGE. 🎸 Then Kanami comes in with a really tasty bluesy lead/solo. It had a Slash-inspired feel to me — melodic, expressive and more about phrasing than just trying to shred your face off. And live, the whole band delivers.
