Destination Hampi: The Final Days of Hippy Island - Part 1

In this 2 part episode, I head off from Goa to the legendary Hampi! As I get there, I soon learn that I am arriving at a very unique and sad time as Hippy Island (the "cool" side of Hampi across the river) was being shut off permanently. Hampi is home to a UNESCO world heritage site, so the rules around there are pretty unique. I guess Hippy Hill wasn't living up to the zoning codes or something of the sort. Anyways, join me as I explore town, check out some hostels, and conclude the episode by traveling up the sunset jam spot where musicians from Hampi and around the world gather to sing, dance, and chant to the sunset :) Description of Hampi from Wikipedia: "Hampi or Hampe, also referred to as the Group of Monuments at Hampi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in east-central Karnataka, India.[1] It became the pilgrimage centre of the Hindu religion.
