Equipment: Blue Fox Classic Vibrax size 02 3/16 oz. (Gold) for clear water, Blue Fox Classic Vibrax size 02 3/16 oz. Chartreuse Green Candyback for muddy water. If you are fishing Bunches Creek use a #1 Blue Fox Classic due to the size of that creek. Live Bait Fishing: Tackle size 4 hook, split shot round size 3/0, Rod/Reel Any Ultralight Rod/Reel Combo. Few I use are Okuma Celilo Graphite Lightweight Ultra-Light Trout Rods 4.5’ and 5', Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rod 4.6’ / 5.6’ , 500 Reel Kast King, 4 lb.– 6 lb. test. Carry a Ole Man Rope for the steep banks. Consist of a large stroller clip and rope size 5/8” or ¾ “ Polypropylene Rope about 15’. Note that Soco Creek is in and out of the boundaries some of it is in N.C. water requiring that State permit. Most all the roads that you can park just off the Hwy has a sign saying either Catch & Keep or Catch & Release.
