Specialities: There are 2 spots in La Paz where you can swim with Sea Lions: San Rafaelito and Los Islotes at Isla Espíritu Santo. San Rafaelito is a tiny island off the coast of Balandra, just north of La Paz. It has a small coral reef and is a popular spot for sea lions. Aside from the colony of adult male “exiles” on La Reina, there is another colony of juvenile males on the island of San Rafaelito. The sea lion colony here is incredibly friendly and playful! They are always a highlight of my visits to Baja 🤎🦦
