What began as a peaceful evening turned into a night of relentless rain, thunder shaking the peaks, and lightning tearing through the sky. My plan to sleep in my tent disappeared instantly — the storm was far too intense. Then, almost like a miracle, I found a small shelter along the trail. Inside, to my surprise, there was a small pile of dry firewood. Despite the storm raging outside, I managed to start a fire. In that moment, watching the first sparks catch and the warm glow fill the tiny shelter, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude. After hours of cold, wind, and uncertainty, that simple fire felt like pure happiness.
