Noddy Goes To Toyland - 1963

A brownie named Big Ears accidentally comes across a little wooden boy lost in the woods. Upon learning that the boy is running away from his Toymaker, Big Ears names him Noddy and takes him to Toyland with the prospect of him starting a new life. Upon his arrival in Toyland, Noddy gains the suspicion of Mr. Plod, the Toytown Constable, who’s convinced that Noddy isn’t a toy. However, Noddy manages to prove his worth after saving a little doll from a lion. Produced by famed British animator Arthur Humberstone in 1963, this 2D adaptation of Enid Blyton’s Noddy books was intended to serve as a pilot for a potential series. Unfortunately, these plans fell through, but the pilot still remains as a hint of what could have been.
