I built our family's wall calendar on a Raspberry Pi, starting from the MagicMirror I made in high school back in 2019. After a lot of people asked for it, I turned it into OpenSky: free, open source, and as easy to set up as I could make it. GitHub (install guide + docs): https://github.com/CosmoJM/OpenSky What it does The week ahead with everyone's calendars in their own colours (Google, iCloud, Outlook, Fastmail, Nextcloud, any calendar link, or none at all) Add and edit events right on the touchscreen Shared lists (on the Pi, Todoist or Home Assistant) with Undo Weather with no account needed, trash-day icons, holiday and birthday countdown, your team's game day Timers, a daily family word game, a photo slideshow, a Smart Home page Set it up from your phone: scan a QR code, no config files Update button with automatic rollback You need: a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5, Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit), and an HDMI touchscreen. Built on MagicMirror² (https://magicmirror.builders). Not affiliated with any of the services mentioned.
