Bishop Dag Heward-Mills shares the extraordinary challenges his Healing Jesus Campaign faces as a convoy of 40 vehicles crosses international borders in West Africa to bring the gospel. He describes how the team is accused of carrying arms, suspected of trafficking, and forced to open every engine and truck for inspection. The convoy carries sound equipment, lights, media gear, medical supplies, and salvation books for leadership training and evangelism. He recounts being stranded for four nights at the Mali-Senegal border, where immigration offices are huts and proper facilities are nonexistent. Most strikingly, he reveals that authorities blocked their salvation books from entering Senegal, using medical supplies as a pretext, because they did not want their youth influenced by the gospel and the born-again message. Despite these obstacles, the campaign presses forward, crossing border after border to bring the message of salvation to the unreached.
